| Ohio State drops two spots in this week's AP Top 25 poll, falling to #8. The Buckeyes are one of five Big Ten teams in the poll, the others being Michigan State at #6, Michigan (#11), Wisconsin (#16), and Indiana (#23). Ohio State started off the week with a win at Minnesota, 78-68. That was followed by an upset loss at then-17th ranked Michigan, 56-51.
Michigan State moves up one spot in the poll following a week that began with a win at home over then-15th ranked Wisconsin, 69-55. After that came another win at Purdue, 76-62.
Michigan moves up six places after a win against Ohio State. Wisconsin moves down one spot after a win against Penn State, 65-55 and a loss to then-7th ranked Michigan State. Indiana moves down five places after a win against Northwestern, 71-66 and a loss to Iowa, 78-66.
Kentucky remains number one for the fourth week in a row. New Mexico breaks into the Top 25 at #18 with an upset win at then-13th ranked San Diego State, 77-67 and an upset win at home over then-11th ranked UNLV, 65-45. Temple comes in at #22 with wins against Duquesne, 78-59 and St. Bonaventure, 76-70. Saint Mary's falls out of the rankings this week with an upset loss at home to Loyola Marymount, 75-60 and a loss at then-16th ranked Murray State, 65-51. Gonzaga also drops out this week.
