StatSheet's Big Ten Player of the Week for February 20th goes to Michigan State's Draymond Green. StatSheet's Big Ten Freshman of the Week is Michigan State's Branden Dawson. Green put up big numbers in shooting (50%), scoring (20 pts per game), and assists (6 per game). The Michigan State senior put these numbers up in victories versus 15th ranked Wisconsin and Purdue.
Green topped all scoring and rebounding for the Spartans with 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 69-55 win over Wisconsin. In the next game he led all scoring with 20 points and added 7 assists in a 76-62 victory against Purdue.
This is a familiar honor for Draymond Green, who has been named StatSheet Big Ten Player of the Week three times. He has also been a runner-up more than once. The runner-up this week is senior Robbie Hummel from Purdue. Honorable mention goes to Northwestern senior John Shurna. The highest ranking player from Ohio State was Deshaun Thomas who finished sixth.
